Treatment For Back Pain
Sciatica back pain or generally known as Sciatica is the term denoting to the pain down the leg which is mainly caused by the irritation of the sciatic nerve, the main nerve in the leg. Sciatica back pain exhibits symptoms like a tingling, weakness and or numbness from the lower back down to the large sciatic nerve in the leg. Majority of people suffering from sciatica back pain get better with time and often find relief using non-surgical sciatica procedures and treatments. However, some cases can be severe and incapacitating thus a need for a more complex treatment is necessary.
Clinical diagnosis of sciatica back pain is called "radiculopathy". This simply means that a disc has protruded or dislocated from its normal position in the vertebral column. This causes pressure on the radicular nerve or the nerve root in the lower back, which is connected to the sciatic nerve. It is important to note that sciatica back pain is not a disorder, but a symptom of a problem, specifically of something that causes a compression and irritation to the nerve roots that comprise the sciatic nerve. This distinction is essential to understand the underlying diagnosis that often needs to be treated so as to ease sciatica back pain.
